Do I need to be fast to hire a coach?

  • Not at all. I coach runners of all backgrounds — including complete beginners. If you're new to running, your plan might include run-walk intervals to build fitness gradually. I meet every athlete where they are.

I’ve never had a coach before — is this for me?

  • If you’ve hit a plateau, don’t know how to structure your training, or just want to remove the guesswork — coaching can help. Whether you’re chasing a PR or trying to avoid injury, I’ll build a plan around your needs. Not sure if it’s a fit? Book a free consultation and we’ll talk it through.

Can you coach me if I don’t live near you?

  • Absolutely. I coach runners all over the country. Remote clients get full access to me via unlimited text, phone, and email.

How does remote coaching work?

  • We’ll start with a conversation about your goals, background, and schedule. From there, I’ll send you weekly training through Final Surge (free for athletes) and adjust your plan regularly based on feedback, performance, and life’s curveballs.

Can I combine remote coaching with occasional in-person sessions?

  • Yes — hybrid coaching is available. If you're local and want a mix of both, just reach out and we’ll create a custom package.

Do you offer one-time training plans?

  • Coming soon! I’ll be releasing race-specific plans (5K, half marathon, marathon, etc.) tailored to different goals and training levels. Each plan will include limited customization options for injury, life adjustments, or pacing targets.

What’s the difference between your in-person and remote coaching options?

  • You can find full details on my Coaching page, but in short:

    • Remote coaching gives you a complete weekly plan with unlimited communication and adjustments.

    • In-person sessions are guided workouts where I coach you in real time. You can purchase them individually, in bundles (for a discount), or in addition to a remote coaching plan.

What kind of runners do you usually work with?

  • All kinds. I coach high school athletes, sub-elite adults, and brand-new runners. Whether you're chasing a BQ, a PR, or your first finish line, I’ll help you get there — and enjoy the process.

What if I get injured or life gets busy — do you adjust the plan?

  • Definitely. Injury prevention is baked into how I write training, but if something comes up, we’ll adjust. I can revise your schedule, recommend cross-training, or pause your plan entirely depending on what you need.

What if I’m training for something really specific (like a trail race or military fitness test)?

  • I'm happy to tailor your training for unique goals. Book a free consultation and we’ll see if it's a good fit.

Can I pause my coaching if something comes up?

  • Yes. Life happens. You can pause or cancel your plan at any time — just keep in mind that billing is handled through CoachUp, which has its own cancellation policies that I cannot change.

What kind of communication can I expect as a remote client?

  • You’ll get unlimited contact via text, email, or phone — your choice. I’ll check in regularly, make day-to-day adjustments as needed, and offer race-prep calls when big days are coming up.

Do you offer refunds if I don’t use the plan or miss sessions?

  • No, all coaching is paid for up front through the CoachUp platform and is non-refundable. I strongly encourage clients to read CoachUp’s cancellation and refund policies before booking. That said, if life throws you a curveball, I’m always happy to adjust your plan or pause training if needed. Just reach out and we’ll find a solution.
